【ステートメント】
日常とは別の場所にあるユートピアを描く。
静と動を一つの画面に共存させ、どこかノスタルジーを感じさせる、エネルギッシュで暖かい画面を目指している。1つの風景の中に堆積した、複数の時間や生き物たちの思念を旅するように鑑賞できるよう、様々なタッチやレイヤーを絵の中に配置し、絵画が瞑想の装置となるような試みをしている。

1992年沖縄生まれ福岡育ち
2015年北九州市立大学経済学部卒業
2019年会社員をしながら、木村創作教室（木村タカヒロ氏私塾）で1年間絵を学ぶ
2019年画家、時任梨乃とアートユニット「海と梨」を結成
2020年退職、Leon art jewelryでrooms41の「EMRGING」に選出される
2020年 rooms41(新宿住友ビル)にて5m壁画とアートジュエリーの展示

Kaito Tokito

Born in Okinawa in 1992 and raised in Fukuoka Japan.

2015 ,Graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Kitakyushu
2019, while working as a company employee, studied painting for one year at the Kimura Creative School, a private art class led by Takahiro Kimura.
2019, formed the art unit Umi to Nasī with painter Rino Tokito.
2020, left job and was selected for the "EMERGING" category at rooms41 by Leon Art Jewelry.

In the same year, exhibited paintings and art jewelry at rooms41 (Shinjuku Sumitomo Building).

Artist Statement

I create paintings that depict utopias situated beyond the realm of everyday life.
Within each composition, I strive to harmonize stillness and movement, imbuing the work with a sense of warmth and vitality that evokes quiet nostalgia.

By layering impressions of different temporalities and the lingering presence of various living beings within a single landscape, I invite viewers to engage with the work as if embarking on a contemplative journey through accumulated time and memory. Through the use of diverse brushwork and layered textures, I aim to construct a visual depth that draws the viewer inward.

Ultimately, my work aspires to function as a meditative device—an image that not only captures the gaze but also offers a space for inner reflection and calm.
